"When I first came to see Dr. James, I had a great deal of pain in my hands and arms. As I work on a computer all day, my first thought was carpal tunnel. I was unable to make a fist or to fully extend my fingers. I kept dropping things because I could not hold onto them. Dressing was a major task as well as driving, as they both caused a lot of pain. Just trying to comb my hair was almost impossible. My legs were swollen for no apparent reason. Any activity was restricted.

"When I first started coming to Dr. James, I was in severe pain. Walking and standing took great effort. My greatest fear was that I would need surgery because of the severity of the pain that I was experiencing. An MRI was done and revealed a large disc herniation with a broken off fragment of the disc impinging on the nerve. Dr. James began a treatment program that included Decompression Therapy.
